With crisp, coastal mornings and beautiful blue skies, there’s a cool change in the air which can only mean one thing… it’s Autumn in Shoreline! This vibrant season brings wonderful weather, the excitement of Easter just around the corner, and a calendar full of events for the whole community to enjoy. 
Here are some of our top picks.

Mingle at a Market 
Experience a vibrant evening at the Shoreline Mingle Markets with international food trucks and bespoke market stalls. Enjoy free entry and live music, plus there are plenty of activities including face painting, carnival games, and roving entertainment. Held on the first Friday of every month from 5-9pm, this is definitely an event to mark in your community calendar!

Play in the Park 
With 25% of Shoreline dedicated to parks and open space, you’re always surrounded by nature at Shoreline! Within Shoreline, enjoy Jingeri Park, voted as one of Queensland’s top parks, or why not pack a bike and head to the community’s brand-new Taunton Way Park, which features a BMX pump track. There are also a number of surrounding parks and playgrounds to discover, alongside 2.8km of bayside foreshore to explore.

Free family fun 
Looking for some fun for your family over the school holidays?  The Redlands Museum has an egg-cellent line-up of Easter activities for children of all ages to enjoy. From Easter chick hunts through to free craft sessions, there are events scheduled throughout the entire school holidays, so there’s always something new to try! While you’re there, make sure to visit the Toy Hall of Fame, and kids of various ages can also become a museum detective and take part in daily scavenger hunts. 

Island hopping? 
One of the unique benefits of Shoreline’s location is its access to a number of local islands, which each offer something special! From lawn bowls through to farmers markets and art shows, there are so many islands and events to discover.  The Bay Islands Community Services Inc (BICSI) has conveniently created an events calendar to showcase what’s happening on each island, so it’s easy to stay in the know and discover the latest island adventures.
