Local young people, their families and friends gathered at Providence for Youth Fest 2023 – a dedicated celebration for the young people of our community – on the lawn of the Community and Sales Centre.

Kids and teenagers were invited to join the fun with free activities including an Area 51-inspired Escape Room, Ninja Warrior Course, and a human-sized Hungry Hippo game.

Courtney Gillott, Providence Community Engagement Manager, said it was great to have the opportunity to connect with young people about their ideas and thoughts on the future of the community.

“It was wonderful to see tweens and teens hanging out with each other, enjoying the activities, playing lawn games, and interacting with the police officers and other stallholders,” Ms Gillott said.

The event also included live music and stalls by the Queensland Police, Ripley Valley State Secondary College P&C and local community group, Ripley Valley Community Incorporated.
