Join us to officially open Mirrigin Park with an evening of celestial celebration and cultural connection

Mirrigin Park, named after the local word for "stars," is set to be the perfect venue for an evening of celestial celebration and community connection.

We invite everyone to join us for this special event located at the intersection of Carnavon Drive and Danbulla Street, South Ripley, our festivities will commence from 4:30 to 7:30pm on Friday, 31st May, 2024.

Here's a glimpse of what's planned:

  • 5pm: Traditional Welcome and performance by the Nunukul Yuggera Dancers
  • 6pm: Star Gazing with the Brisbane Astronomical Society
  • All Evening: Enjoy a Community BBQ by Providence Athletics, coffee from Thom & Ann's Coffee Van, and music from our DJ. There will also be a kids' galaxy-themed obstacle course, craft station, photo booth, roving entertainment, a fire twirler, and free face painting.

Grab an affordable dinner, warm up with hot drinks, and enjoy the best view in Providence while you picnic. Please note that limited street parking is available, so plan accordingly.
