It’s time to celebrate the festive season at Providence! Throughout the region there will be plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy this Christmas.

Providence Christmas Workshops:


Get into the festive season with this year’s Providence Christmas Crafting workshops. We have workshops for the kids and the grown-ups. Check out the links below to register for dried wreath making and gingerbread houses for the adults and reindeer food, Christmas cards and gingerbread cookies for the kids. Limited places. $5 per person per booking.

Santa is coming to town!

Providence Christmas Series

Join us for a FREE family-friendly event Saturday 26 November and December 3rd from 11:30am – 2:00pm. Enjoy FREE Christmas treats, Christmas kids activities, live music, a food van and more!

Where: On the lawn in front of the Providence Sales Office.

City Celebrations

From November 25, the iconic Ipswich City Christmas Tree will be on show at d’Arcy Doyle Place, while Tulmur Place and the St Nicholas Street Precinct will capture the spirit of the season with a spectacular atmosphere of lights, colour and magical moments for all to explore and enjoy from December 8 -16.

Marburg Christmas Carnival

There are plenty of scheduled community Christmas events such as Cruise The Night Christmas at Willowbank, Ulysses Club Annual Ipswich Toy Run, Marburg Christmas Carnival, and Off The Wall Christmas Exhibition at the Ipswich Art Gallery.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to sing your favourite Christmas carols with great events planned in Brassall, Chuwar, Springfield Central, Redbank Plains and South Ripley.

He’s made his list and checked it twice… and now on various dates throughout December, keep an eye out for Santa and his band of merry performers who will be cruising past Christmas lights and stopping at local parks and suburbs near you to spread joy and festive cheer.

 

Tour of Lights

On the 9th and 16th of December, enjoy a Christmas lights bus tour and view a selection of the best displays in this year’s Christmas Lights Competition in air-conditioned comfort. The tour also includes commentary from friendly guides, a light supper and live entertainment.
