Plans for Aura’s City Centre are underway, with exciting progress being made on Stage 1 of Aura’s Retail Town Centre. Spanning 16,145sqm, Stage 1 will include a mix of supermarkets, specialty retail, dining, entertainment, and health care services. As the first phase of what will become part of the future Aura City Centre, Stage 1 will set the foundation with a dynamic mix of shopping, dining, and lifestyle experiences. 

Here's an update on what we've achieved so far, and our future focus to progress plans for future Aura’s City Centre. 

What we’ve done: 

1. As the first step in the process, the Plan of Development approval locked in the key access points, intended scale, and uses for the future retail town centre. We’ve been working closely with consultants and stakeholders to fine-tune plans, ensuring the centre will meet the needs of residents and businesses. 
2. We completed planning and concept design work on Stage 1 of the retail town centre. 
3. Site preparation works are underway including earthworks for basement construction and to level the site where required to ensure it’s ready for infrastructure development. Civil works are also underway, including the creation of essential road and utility networks to connect the town centre to the wider community. 
4. In December 2024, we lodged a DA with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) seeking approval to build this first stage of development. 

Where we’re heading:

1. EDQ will be assessing our DA, and we will be working with them to achieve the required approvals throughout 2025.
2. Following the DA approval, detailed design will be completed alongside leasing so that the centre suits the needs of tenants and customers. 
3. Once detailed design is finalised and leasing activities are progressing, construction of the centre can begin!
