In the heart of the thriving Aura Business Park, Inner Wolf Canine Nutrition opened its doors in Baringa in 2023, offering expert nutrition guidance and support tailored to each and every dog that walks through their door.

Steph Orange from Inner Wolf Canine Nutrition welcomes all dogs, big and small, to visit them at their premises at the Aura Business Park

The business commenced back in 2010 with the opening of a store in Maroochydore, expanding to the larger facility in Aura in 2023 to service the growing community.

Inner Wolf owner, founder and qualified canine nutritionist Steph Orange said the business initially came about as she was working in a role training service dogs and saw a lot of dogs failing the program due to health, skin, joint and digestion problems. After undertaking research to identify the causes of these canine problems, Steph realised the importance of species-appropriate nutrition for optimal health, and the business idea was born.

“I started looking into ancestral diets and what dogs would naturally eat in the wild and ended up producing a specific diet through a local butcher,” said Ms Orange.

“All of our organic ingredients are sourced through local growers and farmers with the food manufacturing process undertaken entirely on the Sunshine Coast.”

Having been open in Aura for over a year now, the team enjoys being part of the community, and appreciates the warm welcome they received since opening their doors there..

“I love to support the local community, and that’s one of the reasons that we chose to open our family-operated business in the Aura Business Park. I love the vibe here and the other local businesses that are around have been very supportive too

“Aura is such a growing family and pet-friendly place with lots of dog parks, green spaces and lots of families with dogs. We have a local Farmers Market opening up in Aura soon too, which we are very excited about.

“Since opening, feedback from the locals has been really positive. Lots of people are referring their family and friends to us and we are seeing a lot of new faces. I’ve definitely seen more people come through the store as the community grows.

“We are a word-of-mouth business and rely on people getting the best service, so they will tell their family and friends. We also work with a few local veterinarians who recommend their clients come to us and we refer back to them as well.”

Charlotte Buckley, Stockland Community Development Manager said that Aura was fast becoming a hub for businesses and entrepreneurs on the Sunshine Coast.

“Our vision for the Aura Business Park is to be a place where businesses can come together and thrive and we are delighted to have Inner Wolf join other successful businesses in the Aura Business Park,” said Ms Buckley.

“Pets are such a huge part of our lives, so being able to purchase supplies and obtain nutrition advice for our pets close to home is a positive for our local economy, and we encourage the community to support local.

“We know it’s not just our Aura residents that love where they live, it’s our furry friends too! Aura is a really dog-friendly community, with its dedicated dog parks, abundance of open green spaces and pet-friendly venues.”
