Get ready for Nirimba’s newest playground – Mulberry Park!

Nestled between The Avenues and North Village in Nirimba, Mulberry Park is set to become a vibrant outdoor hub for the growing neighbourhood. Scheduled to open in mid-2025, this 5,000sqm recreational park has been thoughtfully designed to cater to a range of ages and skill levels.

Stockland Aura’s Assistant Development Manager, Courtney Thompson, shared her excitement about this much-anticipated addition to the neighbourhood.  

“Mulberry Park is a shining example of Aura’s commitment to delivering a park or green space within 400 metres of every home,” Courtney explained. “This ensures all residents, regardless of age or mobility, have easy access to outdoor spaces where they can connect with nature, socialise, and stay active.” 

The park’s central shaded playground will feature classic favourites like spinners, see-saws, and a double swing, alongside an exciting central mound area with climbing posts, a tunnel, an embankment slide and climbing net – there’s something for everyone to explore. 

"It’s all about enhancing the liveability of our community, and I’m sure Aura residents will love what Mulberry Park has to offer,” Courtney added.

According to Tony Mitchell, Landscape Architect from Place Design Group, the park’s urban-inspired aesthetic reflects its location near the upcoming Civic Square and Neighbourhood Centre. To learn more about the new Centre coming to Nirimba in late 2025, click here.  

“Mulberry Park is designed to complement its surroundings and strengthen the connection between the community and these exciting new facilities,” Tony explained.  

“We’ve also incorporated bold design elements like a folded ground plane in the ‘free run’ area with ramps, decks, and obstacles for climbing, skating, and scootering, as well as vibrant pops of colour to make the space both functional and fun.” 

Shaded picnic areas, BBQ facilities, and accessible amenities make Mulberry Park the perfect spot for family gatherings, while the open kick-about lawn offers plenty of space for games or a lazy afternoon outdoors.  

With its opening just around the corner, Nirimba residents can look forward to a multifunctional space that will bring the neighbourhood together, encourage outdoor activity and provide affordable entertainment options for the whole family.
