Builder Spotlight | Hallmark Homes
With more than 35 display homes in the Aura Display Village, we’re shining a light on the 21 builders who make Aura's dream homes a reality! We recently caught up with Izaac Mathieson, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Hallmark Homes to find out more about how their homes are designed for the Queensland lifestyle and catering to the modern needs of families.

How do your home designs fit with the way that Australian families/residents want to live? Has this changed over the years?
Our homes are designed for the lifestyle of everyday Queensland families. Our floor plans have a focus on indoor-outdoor flow, so you can entertain with ease. Go from the family BBQ in your alfresco, to the kitchen and walk-in pantry in moments, while guests enjoy the spaciousness of open plan living. We also include little luxuries like our drop-and-go mud rooms, study areas, walk-in wardrobes and butler’s pantries in many of our floor plans. Our homes are made to support the everyday routine and lifestyle of families.

What is your top tip for prospective buyers to consider when building a new home?
If you plan to grow your family, consider a floor plan that might suit your future needs. Ensure you have enough bedrooms, bathrooms, study spaces and storage areas for your growing household.
What do you think are the main challenges faced by prospective buyers when planning to build a new home?
It’s important for buyers to choose the right builder for their family – a trusted partner to deliver a new home that works for them. They want to feel heard and understood, informed and involved - able to play a part in making their dream real. At Hallmark Homes, we’re good listeners and we don't mess around: always telling it like it is. We use our experience to put people at ease.
What’s your favourite home design trend for 2025?
Coastal design is always a favourite at Hallmark Homes, paying homage to our South East Queensland roots. It’s always great to incorporate lots of texture into our coastal homes, whether it’s panelled doors, built in cabinetry and accents of modern coastal décor.
