How do your home designs fit with the way that Australian families want to live? Has this changed over the years?
Our home designs are tailored to meet the evolving needs of Australian families. Today’s families value open-plan living, multifunctional spaces, and seamless indoor-outdoor integration, all of which are key features in our layouts. Over the years, we've adapted by incorporating elements such as dedicated home offices, multi-generational living areas, and accessible designs, reflecting shifts in lifestyle, technology, and sustainability priorities.

What is your top tip for prospective buyers to consider when building a new home?
Plan for the future, not just the present. Think about how your family’s needs might evolve over the next 5-10 years, such as the need for space for children, aging parents, or working from home. Also, choose a floor plan that suits your lifestyle and maximises the use of your block size.

What do you think are the main challenges faced by prospective buyers when planning to build a new home?
One of the biggest challenges is balancing the dream with the budget. It’s important to prioritise features that will add long-term value and functionality, all while staying within your financial limits. Understanding the building process, timelines, and potential hidden costs can also feel overwhelming without the right guidance.

Designed for modern living, multifunctional outdoor entertaining areas can be stylish and functional

What was your favourite home design trend for 2025?
This probably comes as no surprise since it’s on display in the Parkhill 34, but curves! Curves bring a sense of softness and sophistication, effortlessly elevating any room. They create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere with an organic, stylish feel that aligns with the modern desire for comfort and elegance in the home.

Do you implement any innovative or sustainable construction practices in your projects at Stockland Aura?
Our homes are thoughtfully designed to be both stylish and functional, meeting the latest standards outlined in the National Construction Code. We focus on creating spaces that suit modern living, with wider hallways, family friendly layouts, and open, light-filled living areas that feel welcoming and spacious.
