Soar to new heights at Space Park in Nirimba!
The much anticipated wait is over as Aura’s 20th park, Space Park in Nirimba, officially opened to the public on Saturday 5 August with a free community event.
Adding to the impressive line-up of parks available for Aura residents, Space Park features a rocket ship tower, moon-shaped shade sails, space towers, control panels and a climbable crater, for all of the young aspiring astronauts to enjoy.
Some of our youngest Aura residents recently had the opportunity to test out Space Park prior to the official opening and the verdict is in - they LOVE it!
One budding young astronaut remarked, “I love Space Park because I can play lots of games here and the rocket is so cool!”
“What I love most about the spaceship at Space Park is the giant slide.”
“I love living in Aura because there’s so many parks here and it’s really fun!” said another.
Charlotte Buckley, Stockland Community Development Manager said that creating liveable spaces for the community to enjoy was a key priority for Stockland.
“At Aura, we are working to have a park within 400 metres of each and every home. The Aura park trail is constantly growing and features a network of uniquely themed interconnected parks located throughout the community,” Ms Buckley said.
“Aura’s parks are connected by the cycling veloway and walking paths, ensuring all residents can fully embrace their weekends with adventure, fun and exercise.”
“Through careful thought and design we are creating outdoor spaces where children and adults can gather to relax, chat and play and our residents tell us that’s one of the things they love most about living in this community.”

With its unique space inspired theme, Space Park will provide hours of fun for kids and with three open kickaround areas, other small grassed areas, benches, communal shade structures with tables and seating, it’s a place that the whole family can enjoy.
The park also incorporates feature signage discussing the history of space along a bike circuit that connects a number of play spaces in the park, providing some fun facts for children and encouraging them to use their imagination as they play.
