This is possibly the most popular walk on the Sunshine Coast and with good reason. The 5.4km round trip will leave you in awe of the stunning coves, sandy beaches, turquoise water and the view of Noosa Hinterland. You may even see a dolphin or spot a koala. Noosa National Park is famous for more than just a walking trail. This area boasts some of the most amazing beaches including Tea Tree Bay and Winch Cove. It’s also home to the Noosa Fairy Pools, so don’t forget to pack your swimmers.

Mount Coolum – Read more here
Mount Coolum is another popular hike on the Sunshine Coast. It’s easily accessible and features both man-made and natural rock steps, so expect crowds. It’s an awe-inspiring volcanic dome that presides over the Sunshine Coast landscape. Climbing to the top of this 25-million-year-old laccolith is a must-do while on the Sunshine Coast. We suggest only reasonably fit walkers should attempt this 208-meter summit that includes just over 1000 steps.

Mount Ninderry Summit Walk – Read more here
Get your heart pumping on this short walk up Mt Ninderry and enjoy fabulous outlooks of canefields, the Maroochy River and other district views. Suitable for walkers with stamina, the Mt Ninderry Bushland Conservation Reserve covers approximately 150 hectares, while its peak, Mt Ninderry, is 304 meters above sea level. On this summit trail, you ascend just over 130 metres because the car park start is elevated on a ridge. From the car park, follow the rolling fire road to a steep single track with several steps and occasional views, before it finally opens out onto the prominent bluff as a reward for your efforts. It’s a great complement to Mount Coolum’s summit, visible to the east, which you can see from one of two lookouts at the summit. Get up early and climb the trail as the day is breaking and watch the sunrise.

The Buderim forest walk to serenity falls is a gorgeous little pocket of rainforest in the middle of the suburb. It seems hidden but it’s well-known, especially in summer when people can go for a quick dip in the rock pools.

Nature Walk | Cartwright Reserve and La Balsa Park – Read more here
La Balsa Park (Harbourside) and Cartwright Reserve at the top of Point Cartwright is a lovely spot for a stroll around. There are walking tracks all around the park, up to the lighthouse at the tip and the muralled water reservoir. Up here, you might be lucky enough to spot some whales during migrating season. From the lighthouse, you can even stroll along the beach and out to the entrance of the spit.
