Starting late October, upgrades to Forrest Road will take place to create a safer road network for our residents and help kickstart the construction of the much-awaited future town centre at Sienna Wood!
In partnership with DevelopmentWA, we'll be undertaking upgrade works to Forrest Road, stretching 1.4km from Wollaston Avenue to Eleventh Road.
With works commencing late-October, the upgrades will turn Forrest Road from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway - ensuring better road safety for users, particularly improving Forrest Road and Eleventh Road intersections through a new roundabout. Works have an expected 13-month duration, set to be completed late 2025.
These road works will in turn provide the necessary upgrades to enable construction of the future town centre at Sienna Wood. You can read more about the town centre's progress here. The widening of Forrest Road will also help accommodate the increased traffic volumes as we welcome new residents and the future primary school into our growing community.
What this means for you
Roadworks may cause temporary disruptions, particularly for residents in our Riverbend village, and those travelling to schools along Eleventh Road. Alternate routes, slower traffic and some noise disturbances during the day are expected, however, we'll keep you informed with regular information on alternative traffic routes and construction progress throughout the 13-month project.
TRACC Civil has been appointed as the delivery contractor for the upgrade. The highly experienced team will be onsite Monday to Saturday - for any immediate concerns, please email admin@tracccivil.com.au and someone from the team will reach out to you.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your patience as we work to improve our community!
