Tree preservation

Tree preservation is at the heart of our sustainability strategy. We've carefully designed the community to protect existing trees and integrate native species to ensure biodiversity is maintained. This commitment not only protects the natural habitat but also enhances the aesthetic value of the area, providing residents with a peaceful and nature-filled environment. By managing our ecological impact, we ensure that the area remains green, vibrant, and thriving for years to come.

Circular economy initiatives

Nara embraces circular economy principles to minimise waste and make use of valuable resources. Through the repurposing of materials, we've incorporated sustainable practices into every corner of the community: 2,500 linear metres of karri timber have been reused for street fencing, preserving natural resources. 5,000 bricks have been reclaimed for use within the public open space for seating and shelters, giving them a second life. Warehouse trusses have been reused to create beautiful arbours and entry statements. These initiatives, alongside other green features, help reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable community.

Shared spaces

Nara’s shared spaces are designed with sustainability and connectivity in mind. The 16-metre shaded ‘green street’ and dual pathways promote sustainable transport and healthy lifestyles, offering safe spaces for walking and cycling. With the inclusion of e-bike chargers in the public open space and provisions for EV chargers in every home, residents can easily access green transport options. These thoughtful, community-driven features encourage low-impact living while fostering a strong sense of connection between neighbours and the environment.
