Seen us on the TV recently? If not, don't worry - we'll fill you in on all the buzz surrounding our recent launch event for Stockland Illyarrie.
On Friday, February 2, we made our debut in style (and warm weather). Positioned under a marquee amidst the hustle and bustle of stage 1 and 2 of the Illyarrie site, Lake Joondalup (and a cool, lake breeze) was the perfect backdrop to mark the official launch of Stockland Illyarrie.
And joining us were some VIP guests - John Carey, Minister for Planning; Housing; Homelessness, Sabine Winton, Minister for Early Childhood Education; Child Protection; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services, Linda Aitken, Mayor (City of Wanneroo), and Bill Parker, CEO (City of Wanneroo), who shared their thoughts (and excitement) on the project, and rounded out the event with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The event not only brought attention to Illyarrie, but also to the pressing undersupply of titled lots in the current WA market, and how Stockland's commitment to contributing 14,700 lots across 6 communities in the Perth and Peel region will assist the growing population.
Minister for Planning; Housing; Homelessness, the Hon. John Carey, said developments like Illyarrie are a key priority for the State Government in boosting housing supply, by delivering quality, sustainable and diverse homes to the market.
Sabine Winton, Minister for Early Childhood Education; Child Protection; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services, said an influx of new residents to Wanneroo will boost social and economic outcomes in the local area. "Illyarrie will inject further life into the growing northern suburbs community, with proximity to schools, amenities, Wanneroo Road, the Mitchell Freeway and Edgewater Train Station".
Col Dutton, General Manager for WA Development said “Stockland is thrilled to reach an exciting milestone at one of our most anticipated residential developments. What makes Illyarrie special is that we’re catering to people across the housing continuum – from first homebuyers, through to downsizers and retirees – in one community".
And Illyarrie is just that (and more) - with 450 planned residential lots, and a further 152 for our proposed Stockland Halcyon community, we're set to create a bustling home for around 1,500 residents in the thriving northern corridor. With parks, playgrounds, and a soon-to-come primary school and childcare centre in the mix, Illyarrie fits right into the Wanneroo scene. And, with Wanneroo Central and Lake Joondalup on your doorstep - home doesn't just stop at the letterbox.
The best part? Our event caught the attention of major TV networks - Channel 7, 9, and 10, earning us some primetime news coverage. Check out the clips below to see how Stockland is championing housing diversity and supply in the heart of Wanneroo.
After much anticipation, our first release is (finally) live. Want to be one of the first to purchase at Illyarrie? Check out our available packages here.
