Stockland has released what will be one of the final residential stages in their $590 million Stockland Newport masterplan on the Redcliffe Peninsula, north of Brisbane.

The newest stage, Lake Residences, is one of the most impressive yet. Just 15 waterfront townhouses run along the water, where future residents will have direct access to their own private marina berth.

The Lake Residences are already under construction by top tier builder McNab, who have already completed the framework and are soon to have the roofs all installed. They're targeting a completion date of mid-2024.

The two and three-level townhouses have been designed by Hollindale Mainwaring Architecture.

The kitchen features integrated SMEG appliances, a butlers pantry and a striking curved bench. That flows to the open plan living and dining area, which connects with an alfresco terrace. Some homes have a bar with wine storage adjoining their kitchen, and a full outdoor kitchen on the alfresco terrace.

The living area is cleverly positioned both to take in waterviews and take in maximum natural light, with large windows looking out to the lake and a double-storey void with skylight bringing in light from above.

There's even a plunge pool and an outdoor shower in the landscaped courtyard garden which is located privately near the access to the marina berth.

There has been interest from younger downsizers who are wanting a boatie lifestyle without the maintenance, or the cost, of a waterfront home. There's direct access from the lake to Moreton Bay.

Around 30 per cent of enquiries have come from New South Wales and Victoria, primarily due to the comparative affordability of living lakeside in Newport QLD versus the cost in Sydney and Melbourne.

Stockland filled in the lake in 2018, with some one and a half billion litres of sea water flowed into the lake. It took three years to build the 14-metre deep non-tidal lake, which is the centrepiece of the $590 million masterplan.

The Lake Residences occupy one of the most exclusive pockets in the 143-hectare masterplan which Stockland acquired in 2015.

They're located next to Lakeview Park on Aqua Street, just a short walk down Lakeview Promenade to the recently opened Newport Market Place which has a number of restaurants and cafes as well as an IGA, medical centre, and beauty specialist stores.

Coming out of Lakeview Promenade and heading the other way, residents will meet the AFL Sports Complex and Nathan Road Wetland Reserve.
