Botanica brings endless opportunities to thrive in a budding, expanding region.

Here, you’re never far from transport options, shopping centres and entertainment hubs. You’re also spoilt for choice when it comes to friendly eateries and taverns in and around the area including Ripley, Springfield and Ipswich. With so many to choose from, you’ll always have somewhere exciting to meet friends and spend time with family, and we say “Cheers to that!”

Here are a few to put on your list, but there are many more to explore.

Family Friendly

Yamanto Tavern is a local superstar and boasts a welcoming vibe that extends to all members of the family. Fantastic food and a range of dishes to suit even the pickiest little eater keep everyone happy. Kids are effortlessly entertained in a massive play area, while parents can keep an eye on them from inside. Nicely done.

Friendly staff and lovely service make coming to the Springlake Hotel a pleasure. Bushland and a leisurely lake overlook are a relaxing spot to take the family for food big on value and taste. There are daily specials and kids eat for free days, so be sure to check out their website for the latest deals.

Date Night

Bring your appetite and get stuck into delicious and hearty German fare at Heisenberg Haus in Ipswich. Order a cold Bavarian brew (or two) to go along with your meal, and don’t worry if you have dietary requirements – they’re happy to cater to those for you. An industrial style interior amps up the ambience, but service is never stuffy.

Traditional Australian cuisine is on offer at the moody-vibed Heritage Restaurant and Piano Bar. Treat yourselves to whatever tickles your fancy from barramundi to rib-eye steaks served with a flourish. Consider the stick toffee pudding, you’ll be glad you did. The live music is a nice touch to an enjoyable night out.

Bring the pooch

This BYO pet-friendly establishment with a gorgeous waterfront view of Springfield Lakes is a breath of fresh air. Moselles Cafe and Restaurant serves up beautiful food with an eye toward flavour and presentation. You could easily while away a few hours here, gazing at the peaceful surroundings. Bring wine to share and keep an eye on the rotating daily specials.

Beach House Bar & Grill invites your furry family member to dine with you alfresco style. The spacious and airy covered patio is in the Orion Shopping Centre, so it’s convenient to pick up any necessities, and there’s also a children’s menu for small fry.

Cheap and Cheerful

The Orion Hotel’s Terrace Bar & Beer Garden offers casual dining in an open and relaxed atmosphere. Tap your feet to live entertainment and DJ’s spinning requests. Cocktails are creative and beer is cold. The wine list won’t leave you in the lurch either.

Fun with Friends

If a bit of ‘sensational comfort food’ is what you’re after in a laid-back environment, meet your mates at The Pumpyard, part of 4 Hearts Brewing. The American chef has a passion for Southern-style food along the lines of smoked meats and buffalo wings, which go down quite well indeed with the beers brewed right on-site.

The Bakehouse Steakhouse is equal parts delicious, sophisticated and modern. Padded banquettes are comfy (and pretty) and tones of blush with living greenery abound. Heavy on steak as you’d expect, all come with endless fries (!) though the sides are made for sharing, as well.
