Applications opening on 20 September 2024 and closing 1 November 2024.

In great news for Caloundra South and the surrounding areas, Stockland Aura will launch its 2024 Community Grants Program. Stockland established the Community Benefit Fund and Grants Program in conjunction with Sunshine Coast Council, to provide financial support for local community groups. With funding available to support a variety of community projects and services, it’s an exciting time for local groups to get involved and make a difference.

Stockland Aura Project Director Josh Sondergeld said Stockland is delighted to once again announce its community grants program to support local organisations on the Sunshine Coast.

“Stockland Aura’s grant funding program is an opportunity for us to partner with passionate community organisations that are driving real change on the Sunshine Coast,” said Mr Sondergeld.

“In previous rounds of this program we have supported a diverse range of groups making a difference in the community, including those protecting our local environment, clubs looking to extend their programs, organisations helping to support the homeless, local community associations and charities supporting kids and teens.

Gateway Care based in Caloundra West, a previous grant recipient, received $50,000 in funding through the Stockland Aura Community Grants Program in 2022, to expand its service to support low income and vulnerable families each week with low or no cost groceries.

“Previous grant recipients have included Baringa Football Club, Bamboo Projects Education Limited, Gateway Care Limited, Salty Souls Legacy, Kairos Community College and Aura Connected Community Association, just to name a few,” Mr Sondergeld added.

The 2024 Community Grants Program offers three funding categories with grants of $1,000 up to $5,000, $5,000 up to $10,000 and $10,000 up to $50,000 on offer.

Organisations are encouraged to apply for one-off funding for projects, activities and services that positively contribute to the community; support, grow and build the capacity of local people; provide opportunities for people to come together and embrace sustainability principles in all aspects of project delivery.

Funding is available to community associations, not-for-profit and charitable organisations and social enterprises. Eligible organisations may include community interest groups, Chambers of Commerce, surf lifesaving clubs, sporting clubs and recreational groups.

Applications for the Stockland Aura Community Grants Program open on 20 September 2024, with applications closing at 5pm AEST on 1 November 2024.
