With more than 35 display homes in the Aura Display Village, we’re shining a light on the 21 builders who make Aura's dream homes a reality! We recently caught up with Debbie Bottriell, State Sales Manager at Brighton Homes to find out her top tip for prospective buyers and learn more about how their home designs have evolved over the years to meet the needs of Queensland buyers.

How do your home designs fit with the way that Australian families/residents want to live? Has this changed over the years?
Our home designs have continued to grow and evolve over the years just as the Queensland marketplace and our buyers have also changed. Ducted air conditioning and solar are standard because that’s what today’s buyers want and deserve. A seamless flow from indoor to outdoor living is quintessential Queensland and is an integral part of our design strategy.

What is your top tip for prospective buyers to consider when building a new home?
The best thing buyers can do is to know their budget and to work with a builder who will proactively help them stay within that budget. We have MyChoice Home Loans who assist with determining that budget very early on in the process, providing buyers with a level of certainty that they are on the right track. We can help them build their dream home and stay within their budget.

What do you think are the main challenges faced by prospective buyers when planning to build a new home?
While buyers are spoilt for choice in the market, deciphering all of the options and information can be a daunting task. Throw in the ever-changing finance rules and grant regulations and it can seem overwhelming. We feel our job is to simplify the process, engage and educate prospective buyers to make the new home process as easy as possible.
