Exciting news for Aura families — Goodstart Early Learning Nirimba is set to open its doors in April 2025*. This state-of-the-art childcare centre will offer space for 132 children aged 0–5, creating a welcoming and enriching environment for Aura’s youngest residents to learn and play.

Located just 500 metres from Nirimba State Primary School, the centre provides a convenient, high-quality early education option right in the heart of the community.

Kerrin Thomas, Queensland State Manager for Goodstart Early Learning — Australia’s largest not-for-profit early learning provider — shared her excitement about the centre’s impact:

“At Goodstart, we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life, and we’re committed to working closely with families to provide the ideal early learning environment, supporting each child to reach their full potential.”

Goodstart Early Learning in Nirimba is thoughtfully designed with little learners in mind

The centre will blend play-based learning with tailored educational programs, designed to nurture each child’s unique strengths and interests. With highly qualified educators, little learners will build the skills they need for a confident transition to school, all while encouraging creativity, curiosity, and an early love of learning.

Goodstart Early Learning Nirimba will feature:

  • Eight spacious learning areas.
  • Nature-inspired outdoor play spaces.
  • Dedicated sleep rooms to encourage peaceful rest.
  • Convenient car spaces for hassle-free drop-offs and pick-ups
  • A welcoming parent lounge with complimentary tea and coffee.
  • Nutritious meals prepared by an onsite chef, with dietary and allergy needs accommodated.
  • Essentials like nappies, sunscreen, bed linen, and insect repellent included.

Families will also benefit from the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Queensland’s Free Kindy program, ensuring affordability and accessibility for local parents.

Josh Sondergeld, Stockland Development Director, said the new addition to the neighbourhood aligns with Stockland’s vision of creating a connected, family-friendly community in Aura.

“Delivering key services like the Goodstart Early Learning centre within walking distance of residents’ homes is an investment in the future of our youngest residents,” Josh shared. “This new centre will give families access to early learning right on their doorstep, allowing parents to enjoy the convenience of walking their children to care.”
