Ice cream and cookie caterpillar

Category: food

A clever combination of cooking and craft, this ice cream and cook caterpillar is the perfect way to celebrate Book Week with your very hungry caterpillars!

Method

1. Remove the ice cream from the freezer and allow to thaw slightly.

2. Form a small ball of ice cream using an ice cream scoop and place on a cookie. Repeat, sandwiching the cookies and ice cream together to make a caterpillar shape finishing with a scoop of ice cream.

3. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.

4. Add the gummy worms or snakes as antennae, the Smarties as eyes and a piece of dried mango for the smile.

Enjoy!

Tips:

You can use mint choc chip ice cream instead of pistachio, if liked and replace the chocolate chip cookies with butter biscuits or oat biscuits.
