Residents and Townsville locals are celebrating the opening of the communities newest park.

The park features a giant, Double Tower playground created by leading playground and fitness equipment supplier Kompan that is the first of its kind to be delivered in Australia. The all-ages and all-abilities playground also features a jumping pillow and play equipment to encourage physical, social, passive and tactile activities.

Plus residents can make the most of the new open space with a public BBQ, picnic shelters and comfy bench seats – the perfect place for a relaxing Sunday picnic. 

The playground also allows friends and family to enjoy time with their furry friends and relax while watching their little ones venture through the community’s latest park with a drinking fountain and dog bowl adjacent to the park.

The Junction Park is nestled alongside the anticipated Junction Precinct opening, which will connect the northern and southern areas of the community and include a new coffee shop, display village, sales centre and various public outdoor spaces.

North Shore is located just 13 kilometres from Townsville’s CBD, and is conveniently designed to provide an interconnected network of schools, shopping, dining, parks, bushland trails and transport for its community – all just a short walk from home.
