Whether your dog is a young pup or a mature, senior citizen, the Moreton Bay region is full of great outdoor places to explore with them by your side, both on and off leash. From dog-friendly walking areas to parks and beaches, your furry best friend is always welcome at these spots.
Morayfield Fenced Dog Park
This off-leash fenced dog enclosure at the leafy green parkland on Grogan Road in Morayfield is a favourite among locals and has plenty of room for paw-some plays with neighbourhood dog friends.
Narangba Dog Park on Harris Avenue
This fully enclosed off leash dog park has a fantastic separate area for small dogs and puppies, as well as a water station and plenty of shade for those hot, sunny days.
Red Beach, Bribie Island
Located in Bongaree, Bribie Island, Red Beach is the perfect spot to catch a sunset and soak up the sun. The eight-kilometre beach can be accessed from Tully street after a walk along a vegetation path that leads out to the sandy shores. The beach allows leashed dogs to run, swim and play and generally doesn’t experience rough waves, so it’s perfect for families and dog owners to take a relaxing dip with their pooches or stroll with the waves lapping your feet.
After some kilometres, Red Beach meets up with Woody Bay, another dog-friendly beach, perfect for dog owners who want to take a long walk during low tide with their pooch.
There are no dog amenities here so remember to bring a water bowl and bottle along!
Woodside Dog Park, North Lakes
This enclosed dog park is always busy with pups of all ages and sizes and is the perfect place to catch up for a friendly off-leash play. It even has a small agility course to try your hand (or paw) at!
Pump Station Reserve Dog Park, Narangba
Many dog parks are fenced in, but this off-leash area is doggie heaven. Featuring shady trees and large grassed areas, your pooch can run until they’re all tuckered out here!
Wide open spaces for the whole family at Kinma Valley
Whether you love getting out and about with your four-legged friend or taking a trip with the kids to the park to play, Moreton Bay is brimming with natural spots to discover and live well right on your doorstep.
Wide open spaces will be in abundance at Kinma Valley, with more than thirty percent of the neighbourhood dedicated to open space, as well as 12 parks and playgrounds, and six kilometres of walking tracks and bike paths for the whole family to enjoy.
