So, gather the family, and choose one of these much-loved local walking trails to start exploring today!


Bong Bong Pass*(3.1km trip) 2min from Forest Reach – For those looking for an up-hill challenge

As the saying goes, “the view from the top is worth the climb”. Literally minutes from future Forest Reach, this trail is for the more experienced walker who enjoys steep hill climbs, but there is plenty to appreciate with waterfalls and a spectacular view from the top!

 

Mount Kembla Ring Track*(5.3km trip) 25min north of Forest Reach – Steeped in cultural significance

Another one for the experienced bushwalker but this time a little further north of Forest Reach. Mount Kembla is a significant Aboriginal site for the Wodi Wodi people, featuring in many of their creation stories. Perfect for bird watchers and even a great track for cycling!

 

Mount Keira Ring Track* (5.5km trip) 20min north of Forest Reach – Perfect for a casual hike

The best part of this track is that you can start or finish with a beautiful picnic! It’s a great track for a hike or even an energetic run. Enjoy the forest surrounds with friends and circle back for a spot of lunch.

 

Clover Hill Trail* (6.3 km trip) 25min South of Forest Reach – Famous for the waterfalls and creeks

This trail leads to the Rainbow Falls which are just beautiful, but many avid walkers love this trail due to its’ varied landscape from open paddocks to dense rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled for the kangaroos!

 

Cascade Rainforest Walk* (1.6km trip) 25min South of Forest Reach – Perfect for Beginners

This is a lovely walk for beginners or perhaps for families with younger kids. Take a stroll along the river through the rainforest and enjoy the stunning waterfall at the end. The track is well maintained and clearly signposted so a perfect adventure to kick-start your new hiking hobby just south of Forest Reach.
