Stockland is supporting the Kaleidoscope Festival’s return to Point Cook Pop Up Park for its second year, with a 10-week calendar of events to celebrate the diversity and multiculturalism of the Wyndham community from Saturday 24 February to Saturday 28 April.

CoLocal, a community not-for-profit organisation, and local community groups have curated an inclusive program with the support of Stockland and Wyndham City Council. The festival will come to life at Point Cook Pop Up Park located on Murnong Street in Point Cook, and will feature annual calendar events, such as Holi Festival, Eid Al Fitr and Harmony Day, as well as cultural celebrations, like the Latino Festival and Greek Family Fun Day.

Stockland Point Cook Centre Manager, Frank Pizi said he was excited to welcome the Kaleidoscope Festival back to the community.

“Last year's Kaleidoscope Festival was a resounding success, attracting more than 11,500 people to our centre. It was great to see the community's support for cultural diversity in the area, and we expect to continue the momentum, with a range of exciting events and activities planned this year,” Mr Pizi said.

“The Kaleidoscope Festival has been created by the local community for the local community, and Stockland is proud to support these key events. We look forward to continuing our work with CoLocal, Wyndham City Council, and the various local community groups over the coming weeks.”

CoLocal founder, Sara Mitchell said Point Cook Pop Up Park is a place of coming together and connection.

“We are proud to see this series in its second year, and to support the diverse local community collaborators. These upcoming family-friendly festival days celebrate culture in inclusive ways with the broader community,” Ms Mitchell said.

Kaleidoscope Festival’s opening event will be held on Saturday 24 February with the Bunurong Land Council officially welcoming everyone to place.

  • Point Cook Pop Up Park was established by Stockland with CoLocal in 2018 as a temporary space for markets and other community events.
  • Since then, the activations at the park have helped achieve wider placemaking goals by transforming the area into a vibrant community hub and unifying different sections of the centre.
