Free movie night to bring families together at Stockland's Willowdale community

A free outdoor movie screening of The Greatest Showman featuring Australian acting legend Hugh Jackman is set to delight movie fans of all ages at Stockland’s popular Willowdale community at Denham Court on Saturday, 3 November.

Families are invited to bring a picnic, rugs and chairs and settle back for an enchanting evening under the stars watching the popular cinematic musical at the Willowdale Park amphitheatre on Jamboree Avenue, Denham Court.

The fun starts at 5.30pm with an action-packed program of entertainment for children, including sack races, Giant Jenga, face painting and cricket and ball games. The movie will be screened after sunset around 7.30pm.

The Greatest Showman, inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come alive.

Richard Rhydderch, Stockland General Manager, NSW Residential Development, encouraged all families in Willowdale and surrounding areas to join in the free entertainment at the terraced amphitheatre.

“The park has become a popular destination for families across Sydney’s south-west and events such as the free movie night align with Stockland’s philosophy of providing high quality amenities to bring people together,’’ Mr Rhydderch said.

“I encourage all Willowdale residents and those beyond to take advantage of the free entertainment in a wonderful 2.9 hectare setting.

“It’s a great chance to get together and celebrate with neighbours and meet other families in a fun atmosphere.

“We are expecting a top turnout, and don’t worry about the popcorn. We will have that sorted too.’’

Launched in 2013, Willowdale is already home to more than 1,500 families and features include innovative townhomes, completed homes, retirement living, a community centre, sports facilities and a proposed new primary school.

The community is ideally located 15 kilometres from Liverpool, is close to major road links such as the M5 and M7 motorways, allows easy access to Parramatta and Sydney Airport, and is a short, five-minute drive to the new Leppington Train Station.
