Stockland Momenta marks a momentous occasion for Stockland Logistics business

Stockland has launched its first flagship multi-storey logistics facility – Stockland Momenta, a 15,000 square metre two-storey warehouse development in south Sydney. 

Stockland Momenta will benefit from close connectivity to major consumer markets, infrastructure and employment hubs. Located on Bidjigal Country at Banksmeadow, it is around 11 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD and close to Sydney Airport, Port Botany and major transport corridors. 

Primed for efficiency, Stockland Momenta’s innovative multi-storey design is a next generation logistics development. Conceived to deliver optimal functionality with state-of-the-art features in a last-mile location to accelerate business performance. 

It will set a new standard in logistics, boasting advanced amenities complemented by easy access to nature through a rooftop terrace garden. The warehouse also offers over 1,600 square metres of modern office space to streamline business needs. 

Embracing environmentally sustainable outcomes, Momenta is aiming for 5-Star Green Star certification and a 28% reduction in embodied carbon through the use of green steel. The development will use onsite renewable energy, harvest rainwater with a 20-kilolitre tank, and reuse demolition materials. It will integrate energy-efficient lighting, a solar PV system, smart meters, and EV charging bays, all contributing to a more sustainable facility. 

Stockland’s Head of Logistics Development, Craig Lenarduzzi said the Banksmeadow site is part of the next generation of industrial facilities in metropolitan Sydney. 

“The first of a pipeline of multi-storey developments for Stockland, Banksmeadow has all the benefits of an inner-city location with prized access to both last-mile delivery and Sydney’s major transport hubs. This infrastructure is necessary to drive the economy of our growing cities and deliver goods to consumers as efficiently as possible,” Craig said.  

Stockland is accelerating its $6.5 billion1 national logistics development pipeline, including multi-storey facilities at Padstow and Yennora, that will meet the critical demand for quality logistics hubs in highly strategic infill locations.
