Stockland's Halcyon Nirimba was the first land lease community to be deliberately designed within a broader masterplanned community.

Located in the heart of Stockland Aura on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Project Director for Halcyon Nirimba, Mr Andrew Astorquia, said the design was intentional to drive a strong sense of belonging and connection for homeowners.

"Our vision for Halcyon Nirimba was to create a modern, resort-style community, with the added convenience and benefits of living within a wider masterplanned community," Mr Astorquia said.

"In addition to the magnificent onsite $6.7m leisure and recreation facilities, Halcyon Nirimba is positioned close to Aura's future City Centre, with easy access to the future Bells Creek Arterial Road and a number of parks and open green spaces surrounding the community."

"Driving everything we do is a deep commitment to delivering an outstanding over 50s community with quality homes and an abundance of facilities to keep our homeowners active and socially connected, both inside and outside the gates."

Halcyon Nirimba homeowner Sam Romeo has been living in the community since 2020.

"I really enjoy the location. Not only do I have a well-designed, quality home at Halcyon Nirimba, I also have easy access to all that's on offer in the broader Aura community."

"The local IGA is only a short drive away, there's numerous parks and we're also connected to the walkways and cycling tracks."

A new bus service has recently commenced in Aura, connecting Nirimba, Baringa and Caloundra West to the broader Sunshine Coast.

Later this year, Stockland will also deliver the Bells Creek Arterial Road, providing direct connection for Halcyon Nirimba homeowners and Aura residents with direct access to the Bruce Highway.

Aura is Australia’s largest masterplanned community and celebrated its seventh birthday earlier this year. When complete, Aura is proposed to feature:

  • Over 200kms of walking and cycling paths to connect the entire masterplanned community;
  • A City Centre with shops, dining and entertainment options
  • 20 proposed learning centres from early childhood right through to university;
  • Up to 11 hectares of parks and playgrounds; and
  • 700 hectares of conservation areas and open space.
