Stockland’s Halcyon Greens has been awarded Best Land Lease Community Development at the prestigious 2023 Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards.

Located in Pimpama, north of the Gold Coast, Stockland Halcyon Greens is surrounded by nature reserves and native wetlands, and adjacent to Gainsborough Greens Championship Golf Course.

The Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards celebrates excellence across the retirement living sector.

Entrants were judged on factors including project vision and innovation, quality of design and finish, customer facilities and satisfaction as well as industry and community perception.

Executive General Manager of Stockland Halcyon Communities, Richard Rhydderch said it was an honour for Stockland to be recognised.

“Halcyon Greens has set a benchmark providing the Baby Boomer generation with the choice, style and quality they’re looking for in retirement,” Mr Rhydderch said.

“Modern seniors are demanding prime locations, thoughtful community planning, extensive resort style facilities and contemporary and environmentally sensitive home designs. Stockland Halcyon Greens has enjoyed strong sales with the community selling out in May 2022, 17 months ahead of schedule.”

Mr Rhydderch said Stockland Halcyon Greens has been a game changer in the lifestyle community sector designed for over 50s with its focus on sustainability.

All homes are minimum six-star energy rated and all home have 3.5 kilowatt solar panels as standard, with more than half of homeowners opting for 5 kilowatts. These have the potential to reduce energy costs for homeowners, while also lessening emissions through improved energy efficiency.

When completed, Stockland Halcyon Greens will have 525 homes across five residential precincts, all connected to a central 2.8-hectare green space housing the recreation and leisure precinct.
