A new level of luxury at B by Halcyon

24 March 2023

Imagine a gold class style cinema, an enticing resort pool, an exclusive private dining room, a bar that invites the outdoors in and a Creative Arts Pavilion where you can cultivate your creativity - all right on your doorstep.

That’s what’s on offer to homeowners at B by Halcyon (QLD) following the opening of their $17.5 million Recreation Precinct.

The Recreation Precinct and Creative Arts Pavilion were designed in consultation with BDA Architects, creating both indoor and outdoor spaces that invite connection and engagement among homeowners of the community.

Director of BDA Architects, Mr Adam Beck, said that from the outset, B by Halcyon was envisaged as a landmark project.

“Our collaboration with the Stockland Halcyon team sought to redefine resort-style living for over 50s, with an emphasis on health and wellbeing for the modern senior.”

“As such, we sought new opportunities to weave the indoor / outdoor relationships of the built form to enhance social engagement, even down to the way we designed the shared pedestrian spaces around the facilities.”

“The connectivity of the spaces was also important, following the delivery of the Wellness Centre, the largest day-spa facility on the Sunshine Coast, which gives health retreats in Byron Bay and the Hinterland a run for their money!”

“Staying true to the spirit of Buderim, the facilities create a true village atmosphere with carefully designed and meaningful spaces that create layers of opportunities for casual or organised social engagement amongst homeowners.”

This is further enhanced by the level of finish throughout the facilities.

“There’s a sense of opulence, sophisticated luxury and timeless elegance in the material choices and details,” Mr Beck said.

The facilities on offer include:

  • A large function space with commercial style kitchen
  • Private dining room
  • Gold class style cinema

  • Outdoor resort pool
