Lighthouse Park, Amberton Beach

Located at Amberton Beach in Eglinton, Lighthouse Park is paradise for little ocean explorers. 
 
This nautical-themed play space features a ship play structure, rope maze, sand play area, marine animal spring rockers, and even telescopes and port windows - perfect for young adventurers ready to sail the seven seas. The star of the show - an 8.5m red and white lighthouse, complete with climbing nets and two spiral slides of two different heights.
 
For the little ones on a hidden treasure hunt, the treasure map rope maze with wooden stepping logs and coastal rocks is a must. Kids who enjoy interactive play will love the sand play area, equipped with buckets, conveyor belts, stencils and a pulley system to boost their motor skills and teamwork. 
 
If they prefer to stay on dry land, there's a basketball court with a hoop and netball ring, as well as a turfed kickabout area, cricket pitch and AFL posts nearby - perfect for some family-friendly competition. 
 
The playground offers partial shade, with shade sails and two shaded picnic areas nearby. Public BBQs and toilets are conveniently located across from the playground, so you have everything you need to extend a playground visit to an afternoon outdoors with the family. 
 
Just across the road, the Amberton Beach Bar and Kitchen is the perfect place for the little explorers to fuel up with a bite to eat - where kids can eat free every Monday to Thursday, from 3-5pm. Choose a shaded spot indoors, or opt for lunch with a view outside on the deck. Then, finish off the day with a refreshing dip in the ocean, with beach access just a short walk away.
