Works on Grand Boulevard

We were pleased to open the 1.7 km stretch of Grand Boulevard earlier this year, linking Grandview and Mt. Atkinson between Altezze Drive and Clara Avenue. The road is currently open under temporary traffic management conditions while we work with Council and relevant authorities to finalise electrical connections and activate the traffic signals. 

Updates to energisation of the traffic signals 

Unfortunately, Powercor advised that unforeseen circumstances have caused a delay in completing the electrical connection. We understand how important these signals are for the community and are collaborating with Powercor to ensure that this electrical connection occurs promptly.

Powercor have now finalised the electrical connection. The Department of Transport and Planning will move forward with energising the traffic signals.

We anticipate that the traffic signals along Grand Boulevard will be operational in January*.

Temporary Road Closures  

So that the relevant parties are able to complete necessary works, temporary traffic management will be in place from Thursday 12 December – Wednesday 18 December, 2024*. 

During this time, Altezze Dr will be closed to traffic During Day Shift Hours, and vehicles will be required to detour via Panania Blvd and Oliveto Ave, as such no street parking will be permitted on Oliveto Ave for the duration of the works. 

Road access throughout Grandview will be maintained will the following detours in place as illustrated below
