We welcomed Tarneit residents to celebrate their mums and Grand Central's new park!
We were thrilled to welcome nearly 100 Stockland residents along to celebrate the opening of the growing community’s second park with a Mother's Day picnic over the weekend.
The park – located at 37 Mantis Circuit, along Davis Creek in Tarneit – has a playground, open green space, seating and undercover areas. Mums were gifted with free picnic packs including rugs, snacks and fresh coffee, and took part in a series of fun lawn games with their families.
Stockland Development Director Jackie Kent said it was fitting to open the park on Mother’s Day.
“For over 70 years, Stockland has been a leading creator of communities that are full of energy, soul and life. Parks are important place for families and community members to connect, and we know the parks in our Stockland communities are a destination for families, especially parents, carers and grandparents to come together and enjoy the outdoors,” Ms Kent said.
“The Mother’s Day picnic was a wonderful opportunity for our residents and the community to say thanks to the women in our lives.”
The event at Grand Central was one of seven Mother’s Day celebrations held at Stockland’s Victorian communities over the weekend, including a ‘Mamma Mia’ sing-a-long and Greek feast at Stockland Cloverton in Kalkallo, in Melbourne’s north. A total of around 500 people attended these events.
“Events like this demonstrate Stockland’s commitment to having open space or natural parklands with walking distance of every home, which helps to build happy, healthy and thriving communities,” Ms Kent added.
Just 30 kilometres west of Melbourne's CBD, Stockland Grand Central is well connected to shops, schools, parks and public transport links.
