A green haven full of Sustainability

We’re excited to share the opening of Evergreen's latest green space, designed with both our residents and the environment in mind. Located on Karula Circuit, this park will remain in place for several years after which point, all materials will be re-homed.

The new park is more than just a place to relax and play—it’s a testament to our commitment to sustainability. Here’s a closer look at some of the eco-friendly elements that make this park special:

Recycled Play Equipment

We acquired used swing sets and play units, which were carefully restored to meet current safety standards. This approach not only saves resources but also reduces waste. When it’s time for the equipment to be retired, it will be recycled once more, potentially benefiting communities locally or abroad.

Reusing Plants

Many of the park’s plants have been relocated from other Stockland sites. By giving these plants a new home, we reduce the need for new resources and help preserve the environment.

Second-Hand Bricks

The park’s construction also features second-hand bricks which helps minimise the environmental impact associated with manufacturing new bricks and supports a circular economy.

Future Plans for Material Recycling

As we look ahead, we’re committed to recycling as much of the park’s materials as possible, this may include: returning bricks to the supplier and repurposing structures like shelters and seats for use in other Stockland developments or within Evergreen itself.

Come visit the new park and experience firsthand how Evergreen is making strides toward a greener future, all while providing a welcoming space for residents to enjoy.
