How We Create Connected, Environmentally Friendly Communities.

From the outset of designing our masterplanned communities, Stockland always focuses on how it will benefit the lifestyle of our residents.

We ensure each one of our communities is serviced by a range of everyday essentials like schools, parks, playgrounds, shops and transport, to create a complete lifestyle experience, and our Townhomes are no exception to this approach.

Creating A Lifestyle

Each year, we conduct liveability surveys across all of our communities in Victoria as part of our commitment to truly understand what our purchasers are after. These surveys allow us to open a dialogue with our residents and understand their needs.

General Manager of Communities Victoria at Stockland, David Allington, shares insights into what we have learned from these surveys and how we have adapted them into our Townhome model.

"What they tell us is people want to live closer to open spaces like parks and playgrounds, as well as be close to shopping, retail and public transport,” David explains.

"Our Townhomes are well located to all of those things, which gives the buyer really good access to the things that residents are telling us they care about the most."

Stockland resident, Monique, shared with us how her Stockland Townhome fit perfectly with her lifestyle.

"My personal experience living in a Townhome in the Stockland community has been awesome," Monique said.

"I have a beautiful French bulldog named Donnie, and we just love that there are parks located all within walking distance that fit our active lifestyle."

Not only do we place significant focus on how our homes will provide our residents with a complete experience, but we also take the time to activate our communities year-round with events and opportunities to engage with one another.

"The team at Stockland spend a lot of time planning a full year of events for our communities across Victoria," explained David.

"Whether it's Father Christmas delivering presents at Christmas time, the Easter Bunny doing an Easter egg hunt, or a Diwali event or a movie night in the summer. They're really great occasions that help us bring the community together."

Creating A Future

When considering the liveability of a home, it goes without saying that we need to consider how it will be used for future generations.

Each Stockland Townhome is underpinned by sustainability requirements that assist in preserving the home and reducing our carbon footprint across our communities.

"Things like solar orientation and water usage, but also the design and management of your front and rear yard, is something that goes into planning a Townhome within a Stockland community," said David.

Our resident Monique further explained how this focus on sustainability impacted her as a homeowner and changed her outlook.

"Living in a home that's been designed with sustainability in mind is super important. And I'll be the first to admit that when I purchased this home, sustainability was not a conversation I wanted to enter into," she explains.

"But after living in the home and seeing the way the home's been designed and how it has sustainability in mind, I've realized. What a great impact that has not only on the environment that you live in but also on the running costs of a home."

We have taken great care to ensure that when you purchase a Stockland Townhome, everything from location and liveability to environmental impact has already been considered and implemented for you.
