If you are wondering how long it takes to get to Braybrook to Melbourne CBD then you are in the right place. We spent a few days testing out the transport and are here to let you know that Orion at Braybrook is closer to the city than you might think. In short, it's precisely 12km's to the CBD from our Orion community.

Travelling by car
We tested this in 3pm traffic on a Thursday afternoon and it took us 28 minutes to drive to Melbourne Central. We were pretty impressed by this (although we weren’t impressed with the amount of time it took us to find a park in the CBD, if you were in Braybrook you would have found a park in a heartbeat!).

Travelling by train
With Tottenham and Sunshine stations both a short walk away, it’s easy to get around Melbourne and further afield by train. You’re less than 20 minutes into Melbourne’s Flinders Street or Central Station, and also on a direct line to Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat.

Travelling by bus
Six bus routes travel through Braybrook too – so whether you’re taking the 215 to Highpoint shopping centre or the 410 to Footscray, you can enjoy knowing that your car does not limit you. It’s also nice to know that you don’t have to find and pay for a car parking spot in the city.

Travelling by bike
Travelling by bike is a great way to keep fit and make your way into the city under an hour. It takes just over 40 minutes for an average bike rider to get into the city.

Walking from Braybrook into Melbourne CBD
If you are the active type and are up for a challenge, why not spend the afternoon walking in to the city? We tested this on a Saturday morning and it took us approximately 2 hours and 33 minutes to walk from Braybrook in the CBD (we did have a stop off at a few coffee spots along the way!).

Often you’ll find you won’t even need to go into the city
At Orion, we have found that you never have to go far to get everything you need and often you won’t even need to always make a trip into the city.

Take a short walk to Central West Shopping centre for Coles, Aldi and other specialty stores, or drive 5km to Highpoint for high end fashion and homewares – as well as a fresh food market, and great dining and entertainment. For even more foodie options, Yarraville and Seddon are just around the corner.
