Spend an afternoon at the Braybrook Community Hub
The Braybrook Community hub is an impressive space, it has recently had a $12.5million transformation. This state of the art community centre includes:

  • A Library
  • Community health centre
  • Maternal and child health centre
  • Early years centre
  • Sport pavilion
  • Men’s shed
  • Community gardens

It’s the perfect place to take your kids and spend some chill-out time at the library or to get active at the sports facilities. Check out the range of courses and activities available.

Get active at the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre
Drop by for a casual visit or become a member and make use of everything this community recreation centre has to offer. With childcare facilities, a gym, group fitness, kids swimming lessons and active seniors programs, there’s something for everyone at the  Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre.

Pack a picnic and head to Matthews Hill Reserve
On completion, Orion at Braybrook will directly connect to Matthews Hill Reserve, a nice walk or bike ride for the kids.

This is one of our favourite parks in the area, it includes a large wooden playground, plenty of green areas, sheltered areas with tables, two electric bbq's and a full size basketball court. You can bring along a picnic and spend the whole afternoon here!

Check out the great selection of recreational activities around the area
You can find a great selection of kids recreational activities nearby such as drama classes and music lessons. You can also get your kids involved in local sports such as AFL, basketball, soccer, netball, futsal and cricket at Skinner Reserve oval. Below are some links to check out:

Visit Highpoint and find more than just shopping

Australia’s third largest shopping centre is just a 5km drive from Orion, guaranteeing you can find everything you need. Highpoint has high-end fashion outlets, a fresh food market, recreational activities and onsite parking.

Take the kids along to Hoyts in Highpoint for a movie, or check out the pop-up park next door. There’s also an outdoor playground, plenty of parents rooms and a jam-packed school holiday entertainment program.

Go for a bike ride around your new neighbourhood
At Orion, bike riding is encouraged as families have access to many bike paths in the area. There are also readily available bike racks throughout your new neighbourhood.

Why not get out and explore your new neighbourhood by bike? You might come across some of our local council-commissioned art pieces or stumble upon your new favourite cafe.

As you can see, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding family-friendly things to do in Braybrook, you also have Melbourne Central just 12km away so the list of things to do really is never-ending.
