Summer Festival a big success at Stockland Minta and Stockland Evergreen in Melbourne’s south-east
More than 600 residents across the Stockland Minta and Stockland Evergreen communities in Melbourne’s south-east celebrated summer at Stockland’s second Summer Festival on Saturday, 17 February.
The Summer Festival – held at Stockland Minta’s Hilltop Park on Soho Boulevard in Berwick – featured roving performers, face painters, a jumping castle, a giant super slide, tasty dining options, and live music from Ricky Muscat.
Stockland Development Director Sommer Liston said it was great to host the event once again, especially following the success of the inaugural Summer Festival last year.
“The Summer Festival is a fun and relaxed experience for our residents to make the most of the Aussie summer, come together as a community, and get to know each other,” Ms Liston said.
“The vibrant festival proved once again to be a highlight, bringing families, friends and neighbours together across the Stockland Minta and Stockland Evergreen communities.
Stockland Minta in Berwick is only 11 kilometres from Stockland Evergreen in the neighbouring suburb of Clyde, with residents at both communities have easy access to the nearby Cranbourne area, major freeways, schools, childcare facilities, and shops.
Israel and Stewart, neighbours in Stockland Minta, said the festival was a great night out with friends and family.
“We had a fantastic time at tonight's event, especially with the food trucks, bubble man, and giant slide! It was a challenge to keep the kids in one place with so many activities going on,” said Israel.
