Stockland set to launch first public land release at Bokarina Beach

03 July 2017

The public launch of home sites at Stockland’s vibrant new Bokarina Beach community on the Sunshine Coast will take place on Saturday, 8 July.

A key component of the exciting $5 billion Oceanside community, the beachfront precinct will be a new destination for the Sunshine Coast and will eventually comprise approximately 160 home sites, 130 terrace homes and 800 beachside and north facing park-front apartments spanning almost 30 hectares.

Ben Simpson, Stockland Regional Manager for the Sunshine Coast, said nearly 2,000 people had so far registered their interest in securing land in the masterplanned precinct.

“A special preview event of the first home sites held a few weeks ago was attended by more than 200 pre-registered customers, which shows the strong level of interest in this unique project,” Mr Simpson said.

“All lots in the first land releases are available exclusively to customers who have registered their interest and due to the strong demand, I would encourage anyone interested in securing land at Bokarina Beach to act now.”

The 19 home sites to be released as part of the public launch at Bokarina Beach are conveniently located just a short stroll to the beach and the future Lake Kawana extension as well as close to a future village park, shops and cafes.

Lots range in size from 250 square metres to 480 square metres and are priced from $375,000 to $649,000.

“This is a premium mixed-use residential, retail and tourism hub unlike anything seen before on the Coast and the location is second to none, being one of the last remaining developable parcels of beachfront land of its size on the east coast of Australia,” Mr Simpson said.

“Imagine waking up to the sound of the ocean, and being a short stroll to the beach, Lake Kawana, parks, cafes, shops and all the benefits of the future Birtinya Town Centre and Sunshine Coast Health Precinct.”

Bokarina Beach is set to become one of the Coast’s most prestigious beachside communities and a destination for interstate and international visitors.

Proposed features include boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, plans for a new public beach access and a new surf lifesaving facility, and more than five hectares of open space including parkland and the Lake Kawana extension.

Kilometres of bicycle and walking paths throughout Bokarina Beach are also planned, which will link up with the Sunshine Coast Health Precinct and wider Oceanside community via a shared path under a newly constructed bridge on Nicklin Way.

An outdoor plaza will be created for markets, festivals and community events.

Construction on the first home sites has begun and the community will be developed in stages, with construction expected to be completed on the final stage by around 2020.

Oceanside is set to become a world-class health, retail, commercial, education and residential hub and includes Stockland’s first ‘greenfield’ vertical retirement village, the Birtinya Retirement Village, which is currently under construction.
