Stockland recognised as Top 100 Graduate Employer

15 February 2017

Stockland, Australia’s largest diversified property group, has been recognised as a Top 100 Graduate Employer for 2017 by The Australian Financial Review.

Mark Steinert, Managing Director and CEO at Stockland, said: “I’m passionate about making sure that Stockland continues to be a genuine leader in diversity, education and sustainability. Young, talented people need to know that they can build exceptional careers in the property industry and create outstanding communities with excellent outcomes for all stakeholders.”

Michael Rosmarin, Chief Operating Officer at Stockland, added: “We are proud to be recognised as a Top 100 Graduate Employer. We take seriously the responsibility and opportunity we have to encourage and support the emerging careers of bright, enthusiastic people - the next generation of up and coming professionals and leaders in the property industry.”

Stockland has a long-established tradition of hand-picking the best and brightest emerging talent from universities and tertiary institutions across Australia. For many years, Stockland has taken on property graduates via its Ervin Graf Scholarship Program, which is named after the founder of the company, and in 2016 the company expanded its program to include graduates across all businesses and functions.

In addition to being recognised as an AFR Top 100 Graduate Employer, Stockland ranked Number 16 in the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) List, as voted by graduates. The AAGE ranks Australia’s top graduate employers based on the quality of orientation and induction programs; training and development programs; quality of work; career progression; the caliber of supervisors or managers; compensation and benefits; work/life balance; and company culture.

Mark Steinert added: “One of the opportunities I’ve had as both the CEO and Managing Director of Stockland and President of the Property Council of Australia (PCA) is to drive an improvement in how we look at gender diversity across the property industry, and this starts by encouraging more women into our graduate program and helping all graduates to build a solid foundation for their careers.”

Stockland’s 2017 graduates have recently commenced their program. Stockland is already preparing for its 2018 graduate intake, with the application process opening later this year. Future candidates will be encouraged to apply online at www.stockland.com.au/careers/graduate-careers.
