Stockland Green Hills transforms to welcome Sonic the Hedgehog home
Stockland Green Hills is celebrating the release of the film Sonic the Hedgehog 3, in cinemas Boxing Day, with a 20-metre-long interactive game zone to transport customers from Sonic’s hometown of Green Hills to an adventure in Japan facing a powerful new adversary, Shadow.
The free game zone will feature photo booths, three-metre-tall inflatables of Sonic and his nemesis Shadow, and four games, including a speed of light arcade game, Sphero drone robots, ring toss, and a build your own Sonic character activity space.
Moviegoers and Sonic superfans will be able to meet the film’s stars – Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow – in person at Stockland Green Hills on 7, 8, 11 and 12 January.
Stockland Green Hills Centre Manager, Jodie Bouffler shares her excitement in welcoming Sonic, who hails from a place called Green Hills, home to another Green Hills over the school holidays, along with his friends.
“Our centre is a hub of excitement throughout the year, but there’s a special buzz now that Sonic is in town for the school holidays. It’s great to see so many young – and young-at-heart – visitors enjoy the games, meet Sonic and his friends, and connect with each other at Stockland Green Hills,” Mrs Bouffler said.
Everyone is invited to join the fun before seeing the film at Hoyts at Stockland Green Hills, located on Molly Morgan Drive, approximately 4km from the Maitland CBD. The free game zone will be in centre until Friday 31 January.
Stockland Members will also have access to an exclusive screening of the new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie at Green Hills.
This campaign marks Stockland’s third partnership with Paramount Pictures, following successful multi-tiered campaigns to support the release of the films IF and Transformers One in 2024.

- A national competition to win a family trip to Japan for two adults and two children. To enter, find the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 posters in select Stockland town centres and scan the QR code.
- Eligible Stockland subscribers will have access to exclusive screenings of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 at Stockland Rockhampton, Stockland Green Hills, Stockland Shellharbour and Stockland Wetherill Park.
