Stockland Amberton Beach welcomes TV chef Miguel Maestre for a beachside BBQ
One of Australia’s favourite TV chefs, Miguel Maestre, will cook up a feast at Stockland Amberton Beach on Friday 22 March, in support of Stockland’s Beachside BBQ – a family friendly and free event designed to bring the community together over delicious food.
Located in Eglinton, 48 kilometres north of the Perth CBD, Stockland Amberton Beach is a relaxed seaside community home to more than 3000 residents in Perth’s thriving northern coastal growth region.
The event will celebrate the winner of Stockland’s recent online competition, where Western Australians were encouraged to submit their favourite summer recipes via Instagram. Local WA resident Caroline Roach has been crowned as Miguel Maestre’s ‘official taste tester’ for the evening as he cooks his culinary creations.
The competition saw home chefs from all over the state submitting hundreds of entries, with Ms Roach’s nectarine, burrata and prosciutto salad, summertime prawn sliders, and BBQ tandoori chicken salad recipes winning the prize.
The free event will be held at the foreshore Lighthouse Park, located on the corner of Idyllic View and Celeste Street in Eglinton, from 5pm to 7pm, with live entertainment, activities and food trucks.
Mr Maestre said the event would be a great chance to share his passion for food, friends and family alongside the diverse and vibrant Stockland Amberton Beach community.
“I’m looking forward to meeting my lucky taste tester, Caroline, and bringing everyone together over some delicious food,” Mr Maestre said.
“There is no better place to throw on the apron than Stockland Amberton Beach, and its great location showcases the best of community living. Some of my fondest food memories are cooking by the beach surrounded by friends and family, and I can’t wait to share this experience with my friends at Stockland’s Beachside BBQ.”
Stockland General Manager, WA Development, Col Dutton said he was looking forward to seeing the community come together for an evening of great food.
“At Stockland, our vision is to be the leading creator and curator of connected communities, and this is underpinned by our purpose – a better way to live. Events like this showcase the lifestyle that residents in our community's love, bringing together the Stockland Amberton Beach community and helping neighbours get to know each other a little better,” Mr Dutton said.
“There’s nothing that says WA quite like a BBQ by the beach, and we’re excited to celebrate surrounded by good people and good food.”
