North Queenslands first Burger Urge set to open at Stockland Townsville
North Queensland will welcome its first Burger Urge to the region, set to open at Stockland Townsville.
Centre Manager at Stockland Townsville, Andrew Stallan, said he was looking forward to welcoming the region’s first Burger Urge to the centre’s dining lineup.
“This will be the sixth Burger Urge to open at a Stockland shopping centre in Queensland, so we’re excited to work together to launch another location here in Townsville for customers to enjoy.
“Their fun and energetic brand and mouth-watering gourmet burgers will be a great addition to the food court, and as a new big box quick service restaurant, will further diversify the wide range of dining options we currently have on offer.”
Burger Urge has 18 restaurants across Queensland and 32 in Australia, with its newest venue expected to open at Stockland Townsville in November 2022.
General Manager, Matt Manzie, said: “We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity in Townsville for some time and Stockland provides a great space to showcase our brand to the local community – plus, we really wanted to meet Johnathan Thurston.
“This new venue will be the biggest and brightest store design in the portfolio that best reflects our laid back and fun brand, whilst serving up the most delicious burgers.
“We’re really excited to start feeding the people of Townsville.”
This will be Mr Manzie’s first Burger Urge in Townsville, with other locations in Cairns and Mackay.
The new venue will employ approximately 50 people.
