Construction starts on the Sunshine Coasts best backyard at Stocklands over 50s community
Stockland’s $132 million over-50s lifestyle community, Thrive Nirimba, celebrated the start of construction on what will be the Sunshine Coast’s best backyard – an exclusive clubhouse for residents named ‘The Club’.
Situated at the heart of Thrive Nirimba, the $6 million clubhouse will offer a place for residents to relax, exercise, socialise with neighbours and entertain family and friends.
Stockland General Manager of Thrive lifestyle communities, Kingsley Andrew, said that the Thrive lifestyle communities offer a new type of retirement that meets the needs of the modern retiree.
“Our Thrive lifestyle communities are for customers who are looking to downsize and have access to the incredible benefits and amenities of resort-style living, but who don’t see themselves living in a traditional retirement village.
“The new clubhouse is a modern take on the traditional Queenslander with sweeping outdoor verandas leading from internal social spaces overlooking the Sunshine Coast’s best backyard. It will offer residents a community-focused, luxurious space to relax and socialise with friends and family – with an indoor cinema, wellness centre with heated swimming pool, spa and gym, entertainer kitchen and bar, alfresco kitchen area with pizza ovens and BBQ facilities, bowling green and so much more.”
Designed by award-winning architects DC8 Studios, the 1,100 square metre clubhouse will also offer residents exclusive access to a business lounge and library, billiards lounge, workshop space, studio for arts and crafts, community garden, fire pit, pickleball and croquet court, and a pavilion which can be booked for private functions.
Built by Mainbrace, The Club is expected to be completed early 2022.
Thrive Nirimba is set within the 2,400-hectare masterplanned community of Aura, with access to more than 200 kilometres of walking and cycle paths which safely connects the residents to a network of shops and facilities. Once completed, the community will offer 244 homes and modern community facilities.
