Aura Business Park continues to grow with new tenants

09 June 2020

Stockland’s Aura continues to cement its position as a key generator of employment on the Sunshine Coast with national brands Kennards Storage and World Gym, and a new animal hospital all set to call Aura’s $215 million business park home.

Matthew Byrne, Senior Economic Development Manager at Stockland, said he was delighted to welcome all of these businesses to the Aura business park.

“We are thrilled to see established business like Kennards Storage and World Gym recognising our employment and economic hub as the place to be on the Sunshine Coast,’’ Mr Byrne said.

“And with so many of our residents having pets, the new animal hospital will be a great addition to the community.”

Aura is powering significant economic growth on the Sunshine Coast. The region’s economy is set to increase from $16 billion to $33 billion by 2033, with $1.5 billion of this contributed by Aura alone.

The first of two business parks planned for Aura is expected to generate around 3,000 new jobs alone when complete.

Set to open in July, Kennards Storage will have a variety of storage options including for caravan and boat, while global fitness franchise World Gym will become the first tenant of a development commencing construction later this year.

Sam Kennard, CEO of Kennards Storage, said he was excited to join the community of fellow businesses in Aura.

“We are very proud to be part of the Aura Business Park, and to provide the residents of this thriving community a solution for all of their storage needs,” Mr Kennard said.

Aura Business Park is already home to a variety of businesses from a range of industries including automotive, manufacturing, furniture showrooms, landscaping supplies, telecommunications, commercial office space and fitness.

Hand-carved homewares brand Boho Temple recently moved its showroom into Aura Business Park following the success of its home-based business based in Stockland’s Aura community.

Kate Dixon, owner of Boho Temple, said it was a natural decision to expand the business and open a new showroom in Aura Business Park.

“We were originally operating from home but as the business grew we knew we wanted the warehouse close to home,” Ms Dixon said.

“We love that Aura Business Park has everything you could need, close to both national retailers greater lifestyle amenities throughout the city of Aura.”

Designed to accommodate a range of uses including light industry, warehousing, manufacturing and bulky goods as well as showrooms, commercial office space, indoor sports and recreation facilities, the business park is in a highly connected location adjacent to Bells Creek Arterial Road.
