08 January 2019

Stockland has launched an affordable new village within its popular Highlands community in the north of Melbourne that has been designed specifically to help first home buyers step on to the property ladder.

The new village, named Mode, is ideally located adjacent to Aitken Creek parkland and close to Highlands Shopping Centre and a future neighbourhood activity centre and will comprise just over 120 low maintenance lots priced from $179,000.

The first land release features lots ranging from 179 square metres and priced from $179,000, to 313 square metres and priced from $298,000.

James Westh, Project Director at Stockland, said Mode represented a unique opportunity to build a brand new, quality designed home in an active neighbourhood surrounded by open space at entry-level prices.

“Lots within our new village are perfect for those who want their very own home that’s easy to maintain, without the need for a big back yard,” Mr Westh said.

“The village is right next door to the future Aitken Creek heritage park and wetlands, with a leafy green outlook and a network of walking and cycling paths connecting to established shops, schools and services in our thriving Highlands community.

“Stockland is committed to providing a diverse range of affordable housing options to homebuyers at all stages of life, and Mode is part of our continuing strategy to ensure we are catering to the needs of those starting out on their property journey.”

Mode is close to Newbury Primary School, Aitken Creek Primary School and Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School as well as established childcare, a raft of sporting facilities, retail centres and bus routes within the Craigieburn community.

The award-winning Highlands community a state leader for healthy and active communities with 21 kilometres of walking trails and a total of 696,000 square metres dedicated to recreational and sporting land.
