We’re here for you on R U OK? Day —and every day
R U OK? Day is 8 September 2022 – it’s a national day of action to remind Australians to start meaningful conversations every day to support those in your world through life’s ups and downs.
Stockland CARE Foundation is proud to partner with R U OK? this year. Stockland’s Piccadilly Complex and Yennora Distribution Centre have taken part in R U OK? Day by starting a conversation with our tenants and their employees to let them know what practical resources and support are out there if they are struggling with life or work.
As businesses return to the office, we know that reinvigorating connection within the workplace is a priority as hybrid ways of working continue. And as a market leader with over 35 logistics assets across Australia, we recognise that mental health is a significant issue for the Australian road transport warehousing and logistics industries *.
This R U OK? Day we’re encouraging our tenants and their employees to find out more about Stockland’s programs, government support, and mental health resources to take care of their business, their mental health and wellbeing.
We’re ready with support, advice and resources
Stockland is here as your property partner to help support your business beyond providing well located, flexible and collaborative spaces with a focus on wellbeing. Our Property Management teams are open-minded and approachable, committed to understanding the needs of your business and people.
This year’s R U OK? theme is ‘no qualifications needed’ which means you don’t need to be an expert to ask R U OK?, simply listening and showing you care can make a big difference.
Some may have access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), finding out these details might be a helpful first course of action. If this isn’t available, other helpful resources include:
- Lifeline on 13 11 14. Lifeline offers 24-hour support and suicide prevention services. Text support on 0477 131 114 is available making help more accessible than ever.
- Beyond Blue also provides 24-hour support for advice referrals and support from trained mental health professionals on 1300 224 636.
We’re passionate about working with our tenants and their employees to help them feel supported and connected so that they can thrive. And we’re proud to support R U OK? Day to get people talking about mental health.
If you or someone you know needs help, find out who to talk to at R U OK?
