Our Culture
We are proud to have a high-performance culture. Innovation and collaboration between people with diverse perspectives allow us to generate new ideas and richer insights.
This starts with an inclusive culture. One in which people feel safe and valued. Regardless of gender or gender identity and expression, ethnicity, age, disability, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, family status or beliefs.
90%
of our people feel they can be themselves at work without worrying about being accepted.
We are well-known for our dedication to inclusion
We don’t just claim to have an inclusive culture. We are proud to be externally recognised for taking real action towards inclusivity. These honours have been earned by our unwavering commitment to the inclusion of all people.
• Gender Affirmation Leave policy, which grants access to up to 10 days of paid special leave.
• All-gender bathrooms in our head offices and throughout our retail centres.
Recruitment can be challenging for gender-diverse individuals. If you’d like to discuss our process, please contact our Diversity and Inclusion Project Manager, Robyn Banks.
And we are leading from the top, with women making up 63% of our senior leadership team.
We are striving for a zero gender pay gap, which we recognise as a key measure of gender equity.
In addition to our recognition of First Nations People, that you can read more about below, we celebrate days of significance for many different cultural groups and provide learning support for our people to better understand, communicate and effectively interact in a culturally diverse environment.
Let the Careers team know how we can support you through the recruitment process.

Our Vision for reconciliation
We imagine a future where all Australians are united by our shared respect for First Nations Peoples and their Elders. Where our people, our partners and key stakeholders appreciate the rich cultural values and ongoing connection to Country our First Nations Peoples inherently possess. Where we build meaningful relationships with First Nation’s communities; partnering with First Nations businesses, increasing First Nations participation through employment and economic development, and celebrating First Nations culture through our approach to designing with and for Country.
This is our vision for reconciliation.
Connection to Indigenous communities
Working at Stockland offers our First Nations colleagues a number of ways to stay connected to community through the work they do every day:
• We aspire for our workforce to represent multicultural Australia, including having First Nations Peoples make up 3% or more of our workforce. Our partnership with Indigenous Workstars supports us on this mission.
• We create a culturally safe and inclusive environment. Our learning pathway, Songlines, helps all of our people to learn more about our First Nations Peoples, culture and community.
• We respectfully Design with Country; creating places, spaces and communities which reflect, protect and celebrate Indigenous culture and history.
• We work in partnership with Supply Nation to encourage the purchase of goods and service from businesses owned by, or who assist, First Nations People.
