NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia every July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only by Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.


The theme for 2024 is Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud

NAIDOC Week Art Workshops

Stockland Merrylands will be running NAIDOC Week Art Workshops. Children can immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Aboriginal art. Led by experienced facilitators, participants will learn about the significance of art and its connection to cultural storytelling. 

Please join us at 11am for a Welcome to Country by David Barnett, descendant of the Darug people, followed by solo Didgeridoo.

 

Date: Sunday 7 July 2024

Time: 11am - 2pm 

Sessions: 20 minute session times. Please arrive 5 minutes before your start time.

Cost: $3 per workshop

Location: Level 1, outside Target
