City of Melton residents can enjoy the largest prehistoric-themed residential park in Victoria, Grandview’s very own Dinosaur Park. This exciting playground features a combination of fun play elements as well as a picnic shelter, communal barbecues, a kick-about lawn area, and is connected by walking and cycling paths so families can safely visit the park from the surrounding streets.

Dinosaur Park Review

Ahead of its launch, we asked some experts to review Grandview's brand new Dinosaur Park.

Grandview's Dinosaur Park is roarsome!

Inspiring kids of all ages

The inspiration for Grandview’s Dinosaur Park comes from the eruption of the Mt. Atkinson volcano about six million years ago, which covered the site and buried the bones of the dinosaur. Luckily for us, it’s been unearthed and is now a specially crafted space to inspire children, and to allows families to gather together.

A dino-mite playspace!

The Dinosaur Park has a double-slide tower, twin flying foxes, and a climable dinosaur head. The covered picnic area will comfortably seat large family groups and is perfect for birthday parties. A heritage inspired drystone separates the playground from the cycling path, and links the past and present history of the site.

An experience for everyone

Children of all ages will find enjoyment at Grandview’s Dinosaur Park. The highlight for most is a climbable dinosaur head that’s the size of a small car. It welcomes visitors to the park and will inspire young imaginations for many generations to come.
